Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank - Thursday, July 9, 1pm - 3:30pm
We will be volunteering at the Canton location - located at 1365 Cherry Ave. NE, Canton, Ohio 44714. Please be there about 10 minutes early. Please note: open-toed shoes are not permitted.
Two steps are needed to sign up:

Complete a Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank Volunteer Application (follow the appropriate link below according to your age)
PLEASE COMPLETE A VOLUNTEER APPLICATION – If you have not volunteered with the Foodbank in the past 2 years, please complete the appropriate volunteer application (according to your age).
Adult Volunteer Application (ONLY for ages 18 and older)
Youth Volunteer Application (ONLY for ages 10-17)
Directions for Volunteer Application:
Please type in: Illuminate Youth Ministry in the "Please indicate if you are volunteering with a group" section
You do not have to fill in anything under the "Availability" section
Fill in Illuminate Youth Ministry (St. Paul) in the "Company, Organization or School" section - no address is needed
As you fill it out, please UNCHECK all of the "OK to call" boxes, as well as all of the "Email Preferences" options.
Preparing for your visit, Stark County Campus:
The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank’s Stark County Campus is located at:
1365 Cherry Ave. NE, Canton, Ohio 44714
When you arrive, please park in our volunteer/visitor parking lot. Proceed to the front glass doors for entry.
What to wear:
Safety is our priority! Please note that open-toed shoes are not permitted in the warehouse. We recommend wearing limited jewelry when volunteering.
Comfortable shoes are recommended as you may be on your feet the entire time.
It is best to dress in layers. The weather outside may affect the temperature inside the warehouse.
Per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention COVID-19 and mask guidance, masks are optional for guests and volunteers.
Volunteer Projects:
Volunteers assist with sorting, inspecting, repacking and composting donated food and non-food items.
Pantry volunteers assist guests/neighbors with selecting items and bagging/boxing items. Pantry volunteers also assist with stocking shelves, coolers and freezers. Items include shelf stable, produce, bakery/pastry and frozen.
