Mrs. Heinl

School Counselor

Room 716

Hello, my name is Tara Heinl. I am the school counselor for Pre-K through 8th. I currently reside in Dublin, Ohio with my husband, three children, Golden Retriever and Mini Aussie Doodle. In my spare time I love reading, being outdoors, traveling, attending my children's activities and sporting events, and attending live music concerts.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University in 2004. In 2007, I graduated with a Masters of Social Work from The University of Cincinnati. I also completed a Graduate Certificate through the University of Northern Texas for Behavior Analysis in 2010. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker and have worked in the field of behavior management and mental health since 2002. I have an extensive background in behavioral and mental health through direct clinical work, diagnostics, and administration. I have worked in a wide variety of settings, with diverse populations, including home and community based as well as the school and hospital setting. I utilize a whole child approach while working closely through collaboration with the school team, home, and the community that supports the child.

Through strength based strategies, my hope is to encourage each student to recognize their potential, believe in their self-worth, and promote positive attitudes to achieve the best possible outcome.

I look forward to meeting you and your student!
