Hi! My name is Julia Gott and I graduated from Otterbein University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a minor in Psychology. I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year and looking forward to getting to know all of them!
I am from Lorain, Ohio, where my parents, grandparents and extended family reside. My family is very important to me and I visit them on a regular basis. One thing I enjoy doing while visiting is attending mass with my family at St. Peter Church. I attended Saint Peter School, K-8 and graduated from Elyria Catholic High School.
I know that Catholic Education offers a faith-based academic experience which I value. I am also excited to share with your child this year the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Communion.
As a Freshman at Otterbein University, I obtained a position at Saint Paul’s working in the aftercare, ACE program. During that time, divine intervention took place, and I realized a career in teaching was my passion. The next day I changed my major to Education.
While obtaining my degree, a position became available in January 2021, for a Preschool Aftercare teacher at Saint Paul’s. I was hired and continued working in that position until I became a preschool teacher, this past Winter. I was then blessed to start my first full year at St. Paul as a second grade teacher in 2024.
Our classroom theme is to take flight and fly into Second Grade with an open mind to learn, grow spiritually and treat each other as family. I am overjoyed to be teaching your children this school year and wish to make a positive influence in their lives.
Here is a picture of my: parents, grandparents, fiance and a sweet memory of my "first" half year of teaching Preschool.
