Hello, my name is Abby Sidloski (Miss Sid)! This will be my first year teaching 7th grade English at St. Paul. I graduated from Otterbein in 2024 with majors in English education and Spanish. I student taught at Dublin Coffman HS and recently completed a year teaching English as a second language in Granada, Spain. Outside of school I love reading, traveling, playing sports, learning languages, and spending time with my family.
My goal as a teacher is to have the class that kids look forward to. I want to cultivate a warm, inviting space where students feel free to be themselves and get creative. I believe that when kids feel a sense of comfort and community within their classroom, their potential for learning soars.

This year I am excited to help my students become intuitive readers and polished writers! Together we will explore short stories and novels from a variety of genres through book clubs, group work, and creative projects. We will also workshop writing strategies and grammar through meaningful classroom activities.
I cannot wait to see you all, let's have a great year! Go Rams!
