73 Students Attend Scholarship & FAFSA Night
On Wednesday Oct 15th, 73 students and 33 parent/guardians attended the Johnson Scholarship & FAFSA Night where they got to learn about ways they could pay for college! Lots of FAFSA experts were in the room where families who needed an extra hand in completing the overwhelming FAFSA application received their support! The FAFSA is an extremely important milestone that every Senior should complete regardless of wanting to go to College or not. I have seen many students in the past get almost a full-ride to their college because they did their FAFSA. Remember, you are committed or obligated to accept anything on the FAFSA until you 100% say you COMMIT! Always apply, and later decline if you decide you're no longer going to College.
Come see Mr. Billy in the CCRC to get your FAFSA done!
19 Students Attend Field Trip to UMNTC
On Thursday October 30th, we took 19 Seniors to tour the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in Minneapolis. Here, they got to learn about the school, see and learn about some of the opportunities available on the East Bank campus, and also got to see student life in action. This was an exciting field trip, and some students mentioned "this campus feels like we're in a movie!"
If you are planning to apply to the UMNTC, remember that their first deadline is tomorrow, Nov 1st! Worry not- they also have a Dec 1st and Jan 1st deadline!
