Talk to your teachers if you are interested in Accelerated, AP, or CIS classes.

Registration Timeline for 2023
March 10, 2023: Registration in Campus Portal Opens @ 8:00 am
March 17, 2023: Registration in Campus Portal Closes @ 3:00 pm
Registration Step 1: Learn about Course Options
The Course Catalog lists all courses and course descriptions offered at Como Park HS during the 2023-2024 school year.
Registration Step 2:
Complete the 12th Grade Course Selection Form
You will enter your final selections into the course selection form.
Please choose your courses carefully as counselors will NOT be making changes in the fall per the Como Park High School Schedule Correction Policy.
Registration Step 3 (Final Step):
Select and Register for courses on Infinite Campus

Use the Graduation Credit Checklist to discover the remaining courses you need to take senior year in order to graduate.
If you took a course and did not pass it, you cannot take the same course again in your schedule. If you failed a specific course needed to graduate, you will need to take that course in a credit recovery program.
Graduation Requirements Guide
12th Grade Required Courses
1 Credit is equivalent to one quarter of a course.
English 12 (4 credits)
US Government (2 credits)
Economics (2 credits)
Elective Requirements
Students must fulfill the following elective requirements by the end of their 12th Grade year.
Fine Arts (4 credits)
Business, Family & Consumer Sciences, or Industrial Technology (2 credits)
20 additional elective credits in any category.

2022-2024 SPPS Graduation Requirements.pdfWorld Language is not a specific requirement to graduate, BUT it is highly recommended students take a world language. Why???
Students who completed 4 years of world language study scored more than 100 points higher on each section of the SAT than those who didn’t.
Remember that most four-year colleges and universities require 2 years high school level world language (not including middle school levels) for college entrance.
Foreign Language study creates more positive attitudes and less prejudice toward people who are different.
Analytical skills improve when students study a foreign language.
Business skills plus foreign language skills make an employee more valuable in the marketplace.
