Special Character Leaders
Each year the Y7/8 students apply for a number of leadership roles within the school, the most sort after is that of a Special Character Leader. Special Character Leaders are encouraged to hold a Ministry within the parish, eg. Altar Server, Minister of the Word, etc, and they represent the school every year at the Oil of Chrism mass in Hamilton. They are responsible for running Monday morning school liturgies, the Stations of the Cross during Lent, St Patrick's Feast Day activities and help organise school masses and many other activities to do with our special character. Our 2018 Leaders are Samuel McKay, Theresa Painuthara, Evelyn Hancock and Julian Jadav
Tongariro Catholic is offering a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. It starts with dessert, followed by a short video, and ends with discussion groups. It's relaxed and informal - great for sharing views and discussing questions. Alpha @ St Pats will run for 10 weeks on a Tuesday from 7pm - 8.30pm. The 2018 dates are: 1 May | 8 May | 15 May | 22 May | 29 May | 5 June | 12 June | 19 June | 26 June | 3 July | 10 July | 17 July.
