Laboratory of Intracellular DynamicsÂ
Our fundamental goal is to understand how intracellular components, ranging from molecules to organelles, organize across cells to be in the right place, at the right time. We focus on dividing eukaryotic cells, in which membrane bound compartments and cytoskeletal networks undergo significant restructuring. To gain insight on organization in this cellular context, we combine molecular and cell biological approaches with quantitative, optical microscopy. We are part of the Laufer Center for Physical and Quantitative Biology and the Department of Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY.
