3rd graders demonstrated their new knowledge of animal habitats through the creation of a Hat-I-Tat.
Student inquiry and interest drove personal investigations into the relationship between animal and habitat. Web-based research was conducted in Technology where learners produced slideshows to aide them in their oral presentations and weather broadcast. . Meanwhile, in the Art Lab, learners flexed their creative problem-solving skills to create physical models of their habitats. Planning, building, testing; students experienced an iterative design process that afforded them the freedom from mistakes necessary for innovative design.
