Fifth Grade with

Mrs. Fouts

Hello! I am looking forward to our new school year together! I am coming to SMM with sixteen years of experience with the Archdiocese of Louisville. I have taught various subjects in third through sixth grade as well as working with special need students for two years. I am very excited to be back in fifth grade teaching what I love, Math and Religion. I look forward to teaching Math which allows me to form future problem solvers and logical thinkers. I enjoy teaching Religion because it helps deepen my students Catholic faith, as well as my own. Teaching these two subjects enables me to assist students on how to problem solve and make choices in their life, and for that I feel blessed.

A Little About Me:

I have been married for twenty three years to Rick and we have two children, Hannah & Isaac. Rick has worked in construction labor management for thirty years, and Hannah & Isaac are both college bound. Hannah is in her junior year studying at Transylvania University and Isaac is just starting out at Western Kentucky University. Our immediately family also extends to our nine year old bunny, Dee Dee, our seven year old Border Collie Retriever, Molly, and our playful one year old orange tabby, Ernie. In my spare time I enjoy making memories with family & friends, trying out new recipes, walking Molly or playing with Dee Dee & Ernie, winning at volleyball with my girlfriends, trying out new brain teasers, or just cozying up to watch a good show or movie.

Please know that you may reach out to me at any time. I can be contacted through the school line or by email, and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Again I am looking forward to new beginnings at SMM, and I feel that working together we can achieve many things!
