la clase de español

¡Bienvenidos!

Welcome! My name is Julie Elena Lasso-Rose. My students call me Señora Lasso-Rose or just Señora. This is my seventh year teaching Spanish at St. Michael School and my thirteenth year as an educator. I love it! It is a gift and an honor to teach the entire school and see the children grow and develop throughout the years.

I grew up in Middletown, Ohio, where I attended St. John XXIII School. I graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1995, then attended DePaul University where I earned a B.A. in Spanish and Political Science. I completed my M.A. in Theology at Saint Leo University in 2018.

I have been married eleven years this October to Brian Rose. Our daughter Sally Morgan Rose is a third grader in Mrs. Pelzel’s class. Sally and I love coming to St. Mike’s every day! I am excited for another year of teaching Spanish and sharing what I know and have experienced of Latin American and Spanish culture with my students.

¡Viva Panamá!
