A warm welcome to the St. Michael's PTA site

Community + Fun + Funds

The PTA plays an integral role in the St. Michael's community by hosting activities and events that foster a strong parent community, provide enjoyment for the children, and ultimately raise funds to give to the school for items enriching the children’s education.

Our largest events every year are the Fireworks Display, the Christmas Fair, and the Summer Fete, all of which see nearly all children and their families participate. We also host Autumn and Spring Socials for parents, a Winter Disco for children, plus regular playground events like Cake Sales and Second Hand Uniform Sales.

All parents of current students, teachers, and staff are automatically members. There are no membership fees. The PTA organisation benefits from having charitable status as a separate legal entity independent from St Michael's school.

The PTA Committee is a small group of parents that manage the administrative and operational requirements of the organisation, and also support year groups and parents in organising events as needed. By contrast, it is "the PTA" that always takes the lead, an ever changing group of people across the school community that come together long enough to create something special. Whether that is donating via Mufti money, contributing or buying an item to a cake sale, attending a social, leading an event, or manning a stall, every parent's contribution is really valued and really helpful.
