From the Principal's Desk

A Kolbe Christmas was a grand success! Thanks to ALL who donated, set up, bid, bought, sold, crafted, cooked, ate, danced, sang, rang bells, played, took a chance (or alot of chances) cleaned up and so much more for making the 10th annual A Kolbe Christmas a wonderful experience. Special kudos to Eileen Tennity, MaryAnn Higbee, St. Max’s Home and School, parents past and present, teachers and friends for your tireless work!

Important dates to remember

December 12th Piano Recital at 6:30 in MPR

December 14th Pre-K and K Christmas Show at 9:00 in the MPR; Report cards are distributed today, Celebration of students at 1:15 in the church

December 19th Christmas Show for grades 1-8 at 7:00 pm in the gym. All students in grades 1-8 participate in this wonderful event. Bring your family and friends and listen to the Christmas story and hear the beautiful music sung by all of our children.

December 21st Grades 1,2,3 will be celebrating with Pajama day. Grades 4-8 will have an Ugly Sweater contest and an afternoon movie. Christmas holiday begins at 3:00.

January 3rd Classes resume at 8:00 am

January 10th School mass at 9:00 am in the church. All are welcome


Teddy Bear Drive - The Student Council is collecting new Teddy Bears and new stuffed cuddly toys for the children at AI DuPont Hospital.- The drive begins on December 3rd and runs until December 13th. There will be a drop of box in the school lobby.


Students in grades 4-8 will celebrate the holidays by holding a Ugly Sweater contest on Friday, December 21st. They will also be treated to a movie in the afternoon.


The Nickels for Neighbors Collections

Saint Maximilian Kolbe will begin again collecting change and bills to go to the Nickels for Neighbors. We will collect every Thursday till April – please if you can check your pockets and donate to a good cause. It provides human and social services to Archdiocesan schools of Special Education.

School Mass Schedule for Advent

This year for Advent masses, we have paired 2 grades. The students will go to 8:00am mass the same day each week in Advent. We are encouraging parents to join their child(ren) for mass. Car riders are asked to bring your children right to church on the assigned mass day. Teachers will escort bus riders to church as soon as buses arrive.
