Model Math- a real world problem is just like a word problem that you used to solve for #12 and 13. Look at the model and find the answer. Then find the two fractional parts by seeing the rows and columns being shaded.

Write about it- Explain how helpful it was to use the models to multiply fractions. What did you see?

    • For #19, you have to use your number sense to solve math problems. Number sense is the ability to understand numbers. Look at the whole number and fractions when you subtract. How does knowing this help you subtract mixed numbers?
