Title 1

My name is Laura Egan, and I have been a school teacher for more than twenty years.  Prior to coming to work at St. Thomas in 2019, I was a full time classroom teacher at St. Joan of Arc, as well as a few other schools over the years.

I spent my first two years at St. Thomas as  the 5th grade teacher.   While I loved my years as a classroom teacher, I felt I was ready for a new challenge.   I was fortunate enough to transfer into  the role of a Title 1 teacher at St. Thomas.  

I truly enjoy working with students in small group settings.  It allows me the opportunity to  get to know each child so I can help them develop the skills they need. 

I love to use many methods to help students learn, including many hands-on activities, small group lessons and by playing games!
