Music Class
Students in PreK-3 through 5th grades attend a weekly music class. Students have the opportunity to sing, move, play instruments, improvise and compose while learning the basics of musical theory and note reading. Music appreciation is also emphasized, and all students are introduced to the rich musical heritage of our Catholic faith.
St. Martha School Mass Choir
Choir is open to any student in 3rd-8th grade. During choir practice, there are many opportunities to study the liturgy as we share our Catholic faith through song and prayer. Choir practices after school on Mondays and sings at our Wednesday School Masses and special events. We also lead the music once a month at Sunday Mass!
Select Ensemble
This is a core group of choir leaders for our Wednesday and Sunday Masses.
Annual Christmas Program
Our annual program features musical performances by Kindergarten-5th Grade classes and the SMCS Mass Choir. Middle school students can choose to participate as narrators, ushers and performers in the live nativity scene.
St. Gabriel Children's Choir
Students in grades 3-8 from our school and the entire parish join together to lead the music 1-2 times a month at Sunday Mass as well as Christmas Eve for St. Martha Catholic Church. Rehearsals take place on our school campus and are led by Mr. Matthew Mondragon (Parish Music Director). Students 5th grade and older have the opportunity to serve as cantors.
St. Martha Catholic School provides an excellent Catholic education by developing mind, heart, and spirit as we share in community to form witnesses who transform the world.
