Rosetta Stone Classes - Middle School - Facilitator Kristen Smith (ksmith@smcsnc.org)
Students:
***Please remember your Rosetta Stone progress is due on Monday each week BEFORE you walk into the room that day (unless there is no school, then Tuesday, etc.). The percentage should have been completed during the prior week's classes. This gives a grace period over the weekend if you are behind or missed any classes.***
6th-8th Grade Classes: Each week you should complete 2%. I will run your report and compare it to your percentage from the week before.
If we miss a class/class is shortened during the week due to a day off or half day, I will adjust what is due accordingly. We will not have homework over any breaks. In fact, if you do your work in class you will never have homework. Just remember if class meets and you miss it, it is your responsibility to make up that time/work.
Being at your percentage in Rosetta Stone is 75% of your grade. If you fall more than 8% behind or remain behind 2+ weeks in a row you will receive a demerit and be asked to work at home or in Grace in order to catch up so your grade does not suffer.
6th grade: 2%
7th M: 2%
7th W: 2%
8th: 1% (short class and fire drill)
Note: What is due is based on where you SHOULD HAVE BEEN the week prior, not where you were. If you were ahead you remain ahead, but if you are behind you have extra work to do!! Staying behind will 'snowball' on you. Put in the time to catch up and maintain a higher grade.
We will have 2% due when we return from break on 1/5. You do NOT have homework if you are caught up (that 2% will be the work you do the week of 12/15 - 12/18 in class). If you are behind use break to have yourself caught up in the new year. Merry Christmas guys!
