Course Outline:
The focus of study at Level 3 is the health issues facing New Zealand society. Over consumption of Ultra-processed foods, the influence multinational companies have on our eating patterns; exploration of the beliefs, attitudes and values people hold towards food related issues, and developing understanding of the influence of media are topics included in this study.

Food and nutrition is an aspect of the health, physical education with home economics curriculum. The achievement objectives and underlying concepts are shared.
