Entry Recommendations:
NCEA Level 2 Design & Visual Communication is highly recommended or entry in consultation with the Head of Technology Faculty.
This course also allows students to enter for Scholarship.
Course Outline:
This course is comprised of one major project – a spatial design or a product design. Students are provided with the opportunity to further extend skills in visual literacy and creative thinking. Students get the opportunity to exhibit their major project using a variety of different modes and media. Students are required to apply these skills in order to go through the design process which includes the development of a brief, conducting research, coming up with concepts, the refinement of ideas and ultimately producing a final design solution.

Students will need a range of graphic and material items for design projects.
