Course Outline:
Many features of modern society have their origins in the ancient world. The influence of Greece and Rome on our history, art, political institutions and thinking has been immense, while the forms and themes of much western literature have been heavily influenced by the work and thinking of the classical writers. The New Zealand syllabus provides for the study of the Greek civilisation through topics from its history, art and literature.
