Sacred listening is a contemplative Christian spiritual practice that moves beyond ordinary conversation into a space of deep, intentional presence, where the primary goal is to discern the movement of the Holy Spirit. Grounded in the belief that God is constantly communicating through scripture, creation, others, and the quiet stirrings of our own souls, this practice requires us to quiet our internal chatter, suspend judgment, and lay down the urge to fix or advise. Whether experienced in solitary prayer, formal spiritual direction, or intentional community, it transforms listening into an act of worship and hospitality. Ultimately, it invites us to cultivate a holy curiosity and tune our hearts to God's gentle whisper, recognizing that deep spiritual transformation often begins not when we speak, but when we truly hear.
To support you on this journey, this page serves you in your dedicated month of exploring and learning the art of sacred listening.
