Contemplative Practices Covenant
In this space we strive to create a space of love, respect, and trust. We listen to ourselves and one another with compassion and non-judgement.
We arrive in a posture of prayer for ourselves and one another, asking God to open our minds, hearts, and spirits in service to Love.
Everything here is an invitation, not a requirement. You know yourself best — be gentle with yourself and generous toward others.
We engage with curiosity, playfulness, and reverence. When we choose not to engage in a practice, we hold ourselves gently and adapt.
We contribute from our own experience and listen deeply. We add our voice and make space for others.
We support agency and care. If you need to tend to your body, please do so. If you wish to pass, please do so.
We honor honesty, emotional expression, kindness, and compassion.
Recognizing we all carry wounds and bruises, we treat each other with care as we explore these practices — and humbly turn toward repair when we fall short.
We treat this space as confidential. Outside this space we may choose to share our experience with others, but we leave the stories of others in the room.
We hold hope for ourselves and each other that God’s action through us will join what is broken into wholeness.
