Madeline Summers
Madeline brings nearly a decade of experience in admin from Unity Unitarian Universalist congregation in St. Paul, where she coordinated hospitality ministries and strengthened systems that foster belonging and participation. She later expanded this work at a local food co‑op, cultivating partnerships with more than 200 nonprofits, small businesses, farmers, artists, and educators. Across all of her roles, Madeline centers relationship building rooted in trust. Her contemplative practice informs her community work as well. Madeline has studied the Bhagavad Gita, Sutras, and Vedic Chant, and teaches yin yoga and meditation grounded in restorative and trauma‑informed principles.
She serves on the board of the rural economic development nonprofit Renewing the Countryside and as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Bloomington, contributing to collaborative efforts that help communities thrive. Madeline lives with her husband, Brian, and their cat, Mina. She loves cooking and bringing people together around good food, and has appeared on Minnesota Public Radio and CBS Minnesota speaking about food as a form of connection and care.
