The Partnership for Contemplative Discipleship follows a multi-year rhythmic cycle designed to move participants from the center of their own hearts into the heart of the world. Our curriculum is grounded in the "Within, Among, Beyond" framework, providing a structured path for spiritual deepening and communal renewal.
Year One
Year one is dedicated to cultivating the "inner room" of the soul. Before we can engage the world effectively, we must first learn to rest in the presence of the Divine. This year focuses on the foundational work of interiority, helping participants move away from a life of hurried "doing" and toward a life of "being." We explore the interior landscape to discover our primary identity as the beloved of God, which serves as the anchor for all future ministry and vocation. Through a "courage to experiment," participants develop a personal rule of life that sustains them in the modern world.
Year Two
The focus of Year Two is to continue deepening individual contemplative practices while introducing practices that can also be used in community, particularly using one's inner life as the grounding for "going out" to serve in the healing of the world. Practices in year two are deeper practices that build on Year One's work, bringing us into a deeper union with God and with God's will for us and the world.
