Project Rice Bowl
Each year during Lent we are called to examine our lives and ind ways to improve not only ourselves but the world that Christ entrusted to us.
St. John Interparochial is proud to participate in the Catholic Relief Services initiative Project Rice Bowl. Every Lent this project helps fund missions around the world and in our own diocese to improve the quality of life of our fellow man. The goal of this project is to increase the dignity of human persons by giving them the tools and resources necessary to live their lives in a manner befitting those made in the image and likeness of God.
Every St. John School student has received a Rice Bowl donation kit from their religion teacher. Included in this kit are resources that you can use to see how people are impacted by these services and how your own family can work to continue the mission of Christ.
"I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. " -John 13: 34-35
