Technology Coordinator

Introduction:
Hello! My name is Mrs. Heather Way and I am the technology coordinator for St. Joan of Arc.  I am excited to be working with students in grades 5-8 in Advanced Applied Design, Science and Technology special.  I also teaching a Middle School Research class which is combined with the ADST course. We will be learning about digital citizenship, coding, robotics, animation and much more!
I am also teaching fifth grade 5 science this year using our Lab Learner Science curriculum.

Education:
I have a bachelor's degree from Towson University in Elementary Education.  My first master's degree is in Instructional Technology with a Concentration in School Library Media from Towson University.  My second master's degree is in Leadership in Teaching: Administration and Supervision.  I am currently working on my ESOL (English as a Second Language) certificate from Notre Dame of Maryland University. I hold an Elementary Education and Middle School Certificate, Library Media Specialist and Administrator I endorsements from Maryland State Department of Education.

Bio:
I am  in my 19th year of teaching. This will be my second year at St. Joan of Arc School.  I previously taught in Baltimore County Public Schools and Harford County Public Schools as a classroom teacher and elementary school librarian.  I was born and raised in Harford County.  I am married and have two children.  I enjoy walking in my spare time, hanging out with friends and eating ice cream at local ice cream shops.
