Mrs. Donna Dandino

Music Teacher

HELLO!! Welcome to my first website EVER! so as you see, I'm Donna Dandino. I grew up on a farm in southwest Ohio and was blessed enough to have the most wonderful parents in the world. I was a very shy kid but through music learned to overcome it. I graduated from the Indiana University School of Music (now the Jacobs School of Music). I married Patrick Dandino 42 years ago and have two grown sons and one beautiful daughter in law. As many of you may know, I am proudly a Gramma to Henry Alexander Dandino!! I have performed professionally in cities across the U.S. in theaters but my heart is in teaching! I have taught in Christian / Catholic schools in Dallas, Oklahoma City and Cleveland. I was the assistant director for a Showchoir program in Burbank, California before moving here to Maryland. That showchoir was featured in the pilot of "GLEE". Through that experience, I saw how "putting on the show" reached all kinds of learners and skill levels. There is a place for everyone in the arts! In Mrs. Dandino's world "All Gods Creatures Got A Place In the Choir!"......even if they don't want to be in the choir.

I have told each class that the only way to not get a great grade in Music is to "not try". For some students ( especially those like me) the hardest part is getting up and trying. My goal is to make them a little more comfortable doing that. I will do my best to help them "lead the pack"!

Thank you for raising wonderful kids!

This month, we study patriotic music and the people behind the tunes.
