Keep working on those facts! Fifth graders need to have their multiplication facts memorized. Please work with your student whenever you can... quiz them in the car, while preparing meals, etc. We will once again be "creating" and ice cream sundae while mastering addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

We are using Sadlier Math. This year is heavy on multiplication skills and fractions. There is also an electronic version of the text and many extra problems that students can access from home.

Students will have homework most nights in math. It is possible they will be able to complete it during independent work in class. Students will be using a planner to keep track of homework and school events.
