9th - 12th grade Credit Recovery is still available, but enrollment for Elementary, Middle School, and Junior High Summer Academies is closed.
We are expanding our programs for students this summer!
Instead of one elementary site as in the past, the district will be hosting Summer Academies at three schools.
More spaces will be available at our secondary academies.
Enrollment is open to all SPS students, but the district will reserve space for those who could most benefit from the Summer Academies. If enrollment exceeds available spaces, a waiting list will be created, and SPS will try to accommodate those requests.
Students participating in summer programs will have easy access to free onsite meals
The district will provide breakfast and lunch from June 1 through July 24
Hot meals will be served at Will Rogers
Grab and go options will be served at the other sites hosting summer programming
Transportation will be provided by the district to and from the programs
All programs are free to participants with the exception of the $275 Drivers Education course.
Enrollment begins April 5, and closes May 10.

EL Summer Academy is for students finishing grades K-11 who are current English language learners in our district. During summer school, students will practice their language by listening, speaking, reading and writing about content area topics. In the past EL Academy students have used academic vocabulary to perform an experiment, experience an event in history, write a poem, and calculate the distance a wooden car travels. The main purpose of EL Summer Academy is for students to engage in fun learning activities that stimulate creativity and wonder.
