This gym assistant app, Smart Bells, works to help people analyze and improve their form on major lifts, providing feedback based upon user specified workout templates. This app is excellent for new lifters, as it allows beginners to properly learn lifting mechanics and develop a healthy form, as well as for experienced lifters who simply wish to analyze and improve their form even further.
Smart Bells utilizes AI powered pose estimation technology to pin-point and map critical positions within a movement on an individual's body, and provide real time feedback regarding the accuracy of their form. This is accomplished by comparing the observed lift from a camera feed with an extensive database of healthy, established lifting practices, from which the model learns, analyzes, and provides valuable insight for the user.
With the emergence of commercial AI tools and their growing popularity within recent years, questions about the applications for AI in medical use-cases are at the forefront of the health industry. Furthermore, as AI has permeated the mainstream, there is a budding industry to be found in the inclusion of AI tools within day to day life. As global health consciousness continues to grown, and health information becomes more and more accessible, Smart Bells seeks to provide an effective and cutting-edge way for individuals to learn about and improve their health and fitness.
