[2020-11-19] Finalized project idea. Our group (7) will be creating ViperHDL, a snake-like game written in VHDL. Laid out the framework of the project with the basic VGA output and uploaded to GitHub here.
[2020-11-13] Deeply reviewed Lab 6 . Tried implementing changes from Lab 3 to be able to simulate. Simulation would be much more difficult and probably impractical. Started brainstorming ideas for final project. Decided on a game with team.
[2020-11-8] Deeply reviewed Lab 3. Reviewed how vga signals are processed. Found vga simulator code online and edited Lab 3 to make it simulate-able here.
[2020-11-4] Reviewed Lab 3 and 4 again, brainstormed possible changes/additions
[2020-11-3] Discussed project with group, decided that we will make some kind of game, discussed snake and "world's hardest game" style game to recreate. Reviewed Lab 6 code.
[2020-11-2] Generated Bitstreams for and reviewed Lab 1 and 2 again
[2020-09-17] Reviewed Chapter 8 in the textbook and ran corresponding examples with ghdl/GTKWave
[2020-09-10] Read Chapters 3 and 4 and setup and ran basic examples using ghdl
[2020-09-03] Reviewed syllabus, et up course website, set up ghdl and GTKWave
