12-07-2020: Filled out course survey
11-30-2020: Performed a design analysis on my engineering design.
11-23-2020: Synthesized a functional Brick Breaker game design on an FPGA board.
11-16-2020: Practiced Blockchain and IOTA and worked on IoT Lab 10
11-09-2020: Installed and ran pyang, GIMP, Pinta, and PlantUML; practiced quantum computing by installing and running Qiskit; worked on IoT Lesson 9; modeled a Brick Breaker game design
Contribution: My proposed design is a classic "Brick Breaker" game that can be implemented and played on an FPGA board using VHDL programming. I am also using this design in my final group project for Digital System Design.
11-02-2020: Ran the iot Lesson 8 code, I noticed a lot of the Data Analysis code was similar to the code I wrote for my "Big Data" internship in 2019
Contribution: "Blockchain, explained" by MIT Sloan. An explanation of blockchain technology and descriptions of its applications in cryptocurrency, network security, banking, finance, computer privacy, the Internet of Things, and more
Contribution: "Cognitive IoT for Healthcare" by IBM. An introduction to how IBM applies cognitive IoT using their Watson computer to monitor patients' physiology, behavior, cognition, and environment.
10-26-2020: Practiced with the Thingspeak, Google Drive, and Google Sheets APIs; worked on IoT Lesson 7
10-19-2020: Installed and ran Particle and worked on IoT Lesson 6
Contribution: "Trademark, Patent, or Copyright?" by the US Patent and Trademark Office. An interesting and quick guide on protecting intellectual property.
10-13-2020: Installed and ran Docker, Mosquitto and Paho and worked on IoT Lesson 5; researched trademark, copyright, and patent law
10-05-2020: Installed and tested Django and MariaDB and worked on IoT Lesson 4
09-28-2020: Ran some sample Python 3 programs and worked on IoT Lesson 3. I have experience writing Python from my internship last summer and I am looking forward to working with the language again.
09-21-2020: Worked on IoT Lesson 2.
09-14-2020: Set up my Raspberry Pi according to IoT Lesson 1. I had already installed the New Out Of Box Software for Raspberry Pi during CPE 390 so all I needed to do was connect my Pi to my new apartment's wireless network and check that the SSH was still functional.
09-07-2020: No class
08-31-2020: Created google site, created GitHub repository, and reviewed the syllabus
