Infinity Lab
Welcome
The Infinity lab in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology is led by Prof. K.P. (Suba) Subbalakshmi. We work on several exciting research problems in AI/ML including trustworthy ML (trustworthy models and trustworthy information) and applications to mental health, misinformation, cybersecurity/safety, wireless and cognitive radio networking, spectrum aware cognitive computing etc. Our work is supported by government agencies (NSF, NIST, DoJ, DoD, CCDC etc) and Industry.
Our project titled, "Information Theoretic Approach to Analyzing LLM Vulnerabilities" has been accepted into the NSF NAIRR pilot program.
**Note to Prospective PhD Students**: If you are interested in joining my lab, send me a CV with your GPA, and GRE scores; Github link, samples of any papers that you may have published.
The entire list of publications and patents from our lab can be found here
Some insights into recent projects can be found here. (Sadly, I never seem to be able to keep up with the latest projects in this section!)
Our lab in the news
Our lab has produced several datasets:
CoSMis is a class-balanced dataset that contains an equal number of LLM-generated and human-generated articles (labeled True or False) on scientific misinformation. The paper was published in AAAI 2025 Workshop on Preventing and Detecting LLM Misinformation (PDLM). The dataset can be assessed here.
MMCOVAR is a vaccine focused data repository for COVID vaccine related misinformation. The paper was published in ASONAM 2021. These can be accessed here.
