My research focuses on developing software tools, hardware systems, processes, frameworks, and technologies to efficiently collect and process data from sensors, control hardware, and extract actionable insights using image processing, signal processing, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms.
I conceptualize my research interests through a sunflower model. At its core is a robust foundation of data acquisition processes, software libraries, software development kits (SDKs), and hardware that enable seamless data collection, processing, and interaction with the physical world. The petals of the sunflower represent the application of this core framework to a variety of industries. These include the integration of image processing, signal processing, machine learning algorithms, and systems engineering processes into fields such as geospatial, medical, eCommerce, financial, industrial, gaming, and beyond. This model highlights the interplay between a strong central framework and the adaptability required to innovate across diverse industries, creating impactful solutions.
