BUG

Photography
Note: Over the years the focus of my website has shifted more towards climbing trip reports, so I stopped actively updating my photography section around 2015 or so. But, there are still several great photos here, so enjoy!

I have a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens that I use to take photos of bugs and flowers. Macro photography is lots of fun, and gives a great appreciation for the detail in nature. Maybe I’m weird, but I think bugs are pretty cute. Oftentimes, it takes patience and several shots to get a good photo of a run-a-way bug or fluttering flyer!

Also, in July 2006 and June 2023, I photographed butterflies at the Butterfly Room at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle and Butterfly Pavilion in Denver, respectively. These photos are posted on another page, which you can get to by clicking the above link.
