List of Climbs I've Done & Some Photos

Sitting in the foothills southwest of Denver, Staunton State Park is a pleasant location to do some cragging. The majority of the routes at Staunton are single-pitch purely sport or mixed lines, but there are also a few multi-pitch and/or trad routes in the area.

The first (and only so far) time I climbed at Staunton State Park was in early spring of 2024. We discovered it was still a bit chilly and too early in the season for some of the areas we wanted to climb, so I feel as if I need to come back to get a better impression of what the area has to offer.

On this page, I keep a list of the climbs I've done at Staunton State Park. Below the list, I have random photos from cragging at Staunton State Park.

Date: March 30, 2024 (Sat)      Partner: Nate Arganbright     Climbed at: Staunton Rocks: Meadow Dome area

Sunny but windy and the best routes were still snowed in. I'd like to come back on a warmer day and check out Tan Corridor and The Dungeon.

1. Meadow Dome area.
2. Trail sign.
3. Wounded Knee (5.9).
4. Elwood P. Dowd (5.10b/c).
5. Rappelling. Note the ice.
