A day enjoying the late winter sun and lack of crowds.

1. Granite.
2. A trad route and a bolted route.
3. Some bighorn sheep. It is nice when a climbing area has more wildlife than climbers.

Enjoying a warm December day on the rock. This was one of my first times carrying a full pack since a knee surgery (ACL+meniscus) three months previous. It felt great to be out and back on the rock.

4. Wearing a knee brace on the approach to protect my healing ACL and meniscus repairs.
5. A fun climb.
6. Scott enjoying the December sun.
7. Some nice rock up here.

Exactly a year later, we (Nate, Scott, and I) returned for another pleasant day of cragging in the December sun. Bernard and Paul showed up later in the afternoon, so the whole crew was there for a bit. It was a bit of a high gravity day on the rock, but still an enjoyable day out!

8. Nate leading a 5.11+.
9. Sunny granite on a fun bolted 5.8 I led.
10. Hiking out after a pleasant day of climbing. Just 3pm and sun already set below the ridge.
