(First Trip to Kenny Mountain Area)
Date: March 8, 2020 (Sun) Partner: Nate Arganbright Climbed at: Lower CragA day enjoying the late winter sun and lack of crowds.
Enjoying a warm December day on the rock. This was one of my first times carrying a full pack since a knee surgery (ACL+meniscus) three months previous. It felt great to be out and back on the rock.
Exactly a year later, we (Nate, Scott, and I) returned for another pleasant day of cragging in the December sun. Bernard and Paul showed up later in the afternoon, so the whole crew was there for a bit. It was a bit of a high gravity day on the rock, but still an enjoyable day out!
Back for another glorious winter day climbing on sunny warm granite. Was a great day of climbing: 9 pitches from 5.9 to 5.11.
Another fun day cragging witn Nate. Eight pitches in a few hours before we hiked out so I could get back to studying.
Exploring some new routes that had been added to the area.
Exploring a couple of really nice 5.11c routes that have recently been added to the area.
We climbed two pitches before deciding it was too cold and hiked out to make plans for finding sun over Thanksgiving.
A pleasant 50 degree winter day. 8 pitches of climbing from 5.9 to 5.11. Like most routes I've climbed at Kenny Mountain, I don't know the names or given grades of most of the pitches.
