4th Grade

Welcome to 4th grade! We are so excited for this school year!

Overview of 4th Grade at St. Elizabeth School

Fourth Grade is a time of growth and increased responsibility. This is the first year students experience switching classrooms to learn from two different teachers each day.

In Math, students learn long division, master computation, and solve challenging word problems. Science focuses on the scientific method and physical science. In Religion, students will study the 10 Commandments and learn how to live out the Christskills in their daily lives. We use Wit and Wisdom for Language Arts to help students grow in the areas of grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing. In Social Studies, students learn about the regions of the United States including the memorization of the states and capitals.

Mikaela Keiser

Hello! My name is Mikaela Keiser.  I am entering my 11th year in education and first year teaching at St. Elizabeth's!  I graduated from Creighton University with a degree in Elementary Education.  I have previously taught 1st grade for 10 years in KCPS.  I currently live in Brookside with my husband and two daughters.  I am also a St E's grad so it feels wonderful to be back "home"! I know this will be a fantastic year in 4th grade!

Cali Kiehl

I am entering my 11th year of teaching and my third year at St. Elizabeth! I have previously taught Pre-Kindergarten, and am enjoying all the higher level conversation that can be had with the older kids! I have a Masters degree from the University of Kansas in Architecture and a Child Development Associates certificate. I am from Lawrence, KS and currently reside in Kansas City, KS on an acre with my husband, my goats, chickens, dog and cat. I love all things outdoors and you'll often find me out back around a firepit!
