Dr. Tres Stefurak

I hold a doctoral degree in counseling psychology, a masters degree in community agency counseling and have over 20 years of experience as a psychologist working alongside juvenile justice, child welfare, mental health, and law enforcement partners to design, deliver, evaluate and improve a variety of programs. I am particularly interested in organizations that want to examine disparities in their services design and their client impact and who seek to shore-up and close such gaps.

I also have significant experience conducting psychological evaluations of offenders and victims of crime and offering opinions to the court system based on these evaluations.

My work has also included two decades focused on training mental health counselors and clinical/counseling psychologists as a professor and administrator. More recently I have worked as a higher education leader focusing on helping lead a college of 60 faculty and over 2,000 students achieve its organizational goals. Lastly, I have helped steward over $2,000,000 in grant-funded projects in the juvenile justice, criminal justice and child welfare sectors.

My passion is using organizational assessment, mixed methods evaluation approaches and focused staff development services to help organizations better understand their mission, their change strategies, and their impact. Most importantly, I want to help my partners to become learning organizations that can engage in ongoing self-evaluation, improvement and expansion of their mission.
