STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach that supports the Next Generation Science Standards. Our summer enrichment program was designed to provide a STEM-based learning environment that fosters engagement in inquiry, logical reasoning, collaboration, and investigation, all of which are integral behaviors for STEM learning.
For the younger children, the thematic lessons allow for a variety of age-appropriate experiences, challenges and modes of expression. It is the hope of our experienced staff of certified teachers and assistants that these experiences spark an interest in STEM careers and will better prepare the children for post-secondary study and the 21st century workforce.
