STCC’s Teaching Modalities - On Campus (Lecture, Web-Assisted, Hybrid)

Session Description:

You’ve expanded your teaching repertoire to include Blackboard, multimedia, OER, and accessibility! With this new knowledge, teaching will never be the same. Ask yourself, “What do I do now?” We will discuss teaching on-campus, best practices and strategies to incorporate new online practices into the physical classroom.

Presenters:

Kyle Stephanie Kraus is an instructional designer at STCC. Joining the community in 2018, Kyle has assisted in the development of online courses, presented workshops on technology use, and worked on projects to promote effective technology use in any classroom: online, hybrid, or face-to-face. She loves working with community members to develop effective, informative, and engaging learning experiences.

Mary Wiseman, Director of Instructional Innovation and Faculty Investment, joined STCC in September 2018, after five years as an instructional designer at Bay Path University and two years at The Collaborative for Educational Services. She works with faculty to ensure the design of best practices in pedagogy and holds workshops promoting multimedia and technology for optimal teaching and learning experiences.
