OER Revisited: From Open Content to Open Pedagogy
Recording from September 2, 2021 Professional Day
The STCC OER initiative has grown significantly in the last five years. While emphasis has been on the use of open course content, there are various other ways to bring openness into the classroom. This presentation will introduce the concept of open pedagogy and explore how students can become active participants in their education, rather than just consumers of information.
Chelsea Contrada has served in various roles at STCC since 2014. She is currently the Open Educational Resources (OER) and Outreach Librarian. Chelsea coordinates the campus OER initiative and promotes library resources, services, and events. She is originally from western Massachusetts and attended Holyoke Community College.
