Session Description:
Starting in early 2022, STCC will launch a comprehensive and inclusive process that will result in the development of the College’s next Strategic Plan. This process includes all STCC stakeholders, from students, faculty, staff and administrators, to Trustees, community partners and the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. This workshop is best described as a listening forum where College stakeholders come together to give voice to strategic planning challenges and opportunities. Of most importance to the workshop is the opportunity for any interested employee to share their outlook on the strategic planning process. A draft outline of strategic planning timetable, an update on the utilization of a consultant, communication activities, and efforts to leverage constructive, proactive, and positive conversations about the future of STCC. We will frame the conversation using an excerpt from Pirtea, Nilcolescu, and Botoc’s The Role Of Strategic Planning in Modern Organization who state that “a strategic plan can provide an invaluable blueprint for growth and revitalization, enabling an organization to take stock of where it is, determine where it wants to go and chart a course to get there.” Your presence and feedback is important.
