Session Description:
This presentation will introduce methodology for systematic reporting using the EMSI-Labor Analytics and Economic Modeling tool. Regional program comparisons, labor market statistics, and job posting analytics will be examined as they pertain to program evaluation and occupational analysis. A mock report will be generated, along with an overview of current licensing agreements and commonly used data sources.
Presenters:
Eugene Noble, M.A., ASRI is the Associate Director of Institutional Research. Eugene joined STCC in 2019 as a Senior Institutional Research Analyst, and previously worked as a Retirement Research Analyst at LIMRA Secure Retirement Institute. In addition to being the college’s Tableau Administrator, Eugene is responsible for providing data for institutional grants, ad-hoc analyses, and supporting on-going program review initiatives. Eugene holds a bachelors in Psychology from Shawnee State University, and an MA in Psychology with a Research Methods concentration from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Suzanne Smith is Dean of Institutional Research at STCC, where she oversees federal and state reporting and internal data analysis that supports planning, decision-making, and accreditation. She earned her bachelor's degree in Economics from Smith College, and her masters degree in Economics from Umass-Amherst. She has used her analytical and statistical skills in various settings including higher education, human services, and nonprofit research centers, with social justice and equity as a central concern.
