Session Description:
This 50-minute session will be open to the entire STCC community. Cheryl will introduce participants to what mindfulness really is, its benefits, and how to practice. Discover new skills to reduce stress and think more clearly. Create a mindfulness practice plan to manage ongoing change and uncertainty with greater ease.
Objectives:
1. Define what mindfulness is and try a simple practice.
2. Develop a personal mindfulness practice plan.
3. Gain access to FREE resources to keep it going.
Presenter:
Cheryl Jones holds a master’s degree in health education and exercise science and a certificate in spirituality. She’s been extensively trained in Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program and was recently voted one of 12 Most Powerful Women of the Mindfulness Movement.
