By now, you should be comfortable with advising, using the ARIES advising tool (ADVISING chicklet). And, many of you have been working in the FACULTY chicklet. In this session, we will recap Advising, and cover Faculty topics in ARIES. Some updates are already in production; others are coming in the Spring 2022 semester, including:
class attendance
grade entry
class rosters
withdrawals
case plan/ retention alert
We will also provide a solution that will allow you to suggest enhancements to the current ARIES system.
Eileen Cusick is a professor in LAPS/ Business Department, and teaches office and information technologies- related courses. She started at STCC in 1992, in the IT Department, and transitioned to full-time teaching in 2014. Eileen’s career experience includes positions in the telecommunications industry, desktop publishing, and at the Smithsonian Institution. Eileen holds an MBA (Information Systems), and a MAMT (Mathematics), from WNEU.
Ann Gervais joined STCC in 2006 as a Professor of Accounting, Finance and Management and Chair of the Business Department. Ann earned a BBA in Business Management and Accounting at Elms College and an MBA at Western New England University. Prior to STCC, Ann worked in a corporate environment as an accountant and CFO.
Jasmine Herman has served as Administrative Assistant in the Academic Advising and Transfer Center at STCC since 2008, after leaving the mortgage industry. She is an alum of STCC ('13 EXEC.AS) and is currently pursuing her BS at UMass Amherst concentrating on Leadership and Advocacy. She has a love for "kicking tires" of new software and enjoys providing support to staff when on boarding new systems.
