Session Description:

The session will review the best practices and resources utilized by the Academic Advising & Transfer Center in order to assist our students as they navigate their academic studies here at STCC. Come learn more about the overall Advising process while gaining some tips about how to better manage the flow and rhythm of advising students. This session will be followed by a Q&A – so please do come with some general questions or scenarios that you would like to share with the group.

Presenters:

Susan Askin

Sue has 13 years experience as an Academic Advisor at STCC. Along with 3 years as an advisor to the Health Career Opportunities Program at STCC. Sue attained a Bachelors of Arts in Social Science from WSU.

James Lightfoot is the Coordinator of the Academic Advising & Transfer Center. James served as an Academic Advisor in the Advising Department for over 8 years.

Melissa Rojas

Melissa is an Academic Advisor with over ten years of experience in higher education and nonprofit leadership. She holds a Master’s Degree from Springfield College in Organizational Management and Leadership.
