Hello and welcome to the 2018/2019 school year. I provide guidance services for Holland Hall and Mullock Hall students and families and am at St Bon’s Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

My role is to work along with your child(ren) and family to create strategies and skills to develop and maintain healthy relationships with self and others. I also assist in facilitating healthy relationships to learning and act as a liaison between home and school.

I encourage you to look through these pages to find resources and supports for you and your child(ren).

January 23 7-8pm. Anxiety and Depression in Children in Youth: Identifying risk & protective factors, signs & symptoms of anxiety and depression, and ways to support your child at home

February 20 7-8 pm. Handling Failure: Turning failure into teaching moments and developing resilience in your child

March 20 7-8pm. Bullying vs Teasing: How to help your child distinguish and manage challenging social situations

April 10 7-8pm. Backbone Parenting: Setting boundaries and limits for your child within a framework of love

May 22 7-8pm. Developing Skills for Success: Helping your child develop academic, physical and emotional skills to succeed, plus how to transition to summer learning

About Guidance

My professional background is in providing child and adolescent mental health counselling. I have worked within educational, health, non-profit and private practice settings. I believe that children and youth experience the greatest success when parents, children/adolescents, and schools work together in a collaborative and supportive relationship with one another.
