Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are so excited to meet your children tomorrow and begin the new school year! Your student will either be in Homeroom 108 with Mrs. Burns-Wilmott or with Miss Giuliani in Homeroom 106 and we will work collaboratively throughout the year to coordinate curriculum and procedures in first grade. We both will be teaching all core subjects to your child. First grade is an important year for students to increase foundational skills and grow both socially and spiritually. Students will receive an 8th grade buddy to go to Mass and celebrate special events together.
Here is some information for the first week:
Tuesday and Wednesday are early dismissal. (11:30) Thursday and Friday are regular dismissal. (1:50) Please fill out the Google form before the first day of school on how your child will be going home and who will be picking them up. The link can be found here: https://forms.gle/pwzDFYPQ4xJt2CkXA
Your student should bring a healthy NUT FREE snack each day, a reusable water bottle (disposable and squirt type bottles are not permitted this year.), and lunch as well, on full days. Please be sure to include all utensils, napkins, etc. your child will need. Beverages other than water may only be consumed in the cafeteria.
On the first day of school please make sure your child has their folders, school supplies in a pouch, and notebook. If you would like you can slowly send in the rest of the supplies during the week. Larger items such as paper towels, tissues and wipes may be brought in on Back to School Night.
Your child will bring their home folder home each day and return it the next day. Please check it daily to see if there is any communication from the school or us. You may also use it to send in notes and communication with the office or one of us. Coming home Wednesday 9/3 will be an invitation to join Class Dojo.
We are so excited to get to know our new students and families. See you on 9/2.
