Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. I'm looking forward to another great week together.
Our 60th Anniversary Celebration will take place on Saturday, May 4. We will celebrate the 4 pm Mass with food and hospitality to follow from 5-8pm.
There will be a math test on Topic 9 on Wednesday. There will be no phonics or spelling tests this week.
We will be attending the Spring Book Fair on Tuesday May 7th at 9:30.
MAP testing will take place on Thursday (Reading) and Friday(Math) morning.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. I'm looking forward to another great week together.
The Race for Education is Tuesday, April 30. Please wear your gym uniform and bring in a labelled water bottle.
There will be a phonics test on Wednesday 5/1 and a spelling test on Friday 5/3.
We will attend the Spring Band and Chorus Concert on Wednesday, May 1.
The May Crowning will take place during Mass on Friday, May 3. Please wear your St. Bart's t-shirt (coming home on Thursday) and khaki bottoms.

There is no school on Monday, February 12. We have a Bishop's Holiday.
We will be celebrating Valentine's Day on Thursday 2/15. Thursday is also the Mission Fair. Students should be wearing their gym uniforms and sneakers. They can add a touch of red to their gym uniform to celebrate Valentine's Day. Click here to view the flyer for information on the Mission Fair. Please make sure your child's money is in a bag labeled with their name!
We will have a math test on Wednesday, 2/21.
We will have a spelling test on Friday, 2/23.

Monday is silly sock day. You may wear your silliwst socks with your uniform. The Girl Scouts will be colloecting new sock all week. Please send some in if you are able.
On Tuesday students may wear green or gold for our school spirit day.
We will be going to library on Wednesday. Please return all library books.
We will have a phonics test on Wednesday 1/31, and a spelling test on Friday 2/2.
Students should wear their formal uniforms on Friday as we will be attending Mass.
Friday (2/2) is an 11:30 dismissal.
You will find a tab at the top of the website for the MAP test. There you will find practice tests that your child can practice at home to prepare. IXL will become daily homework as we get closer to take the MAP test again in the beginning of February.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. The Season of Advent is upon us as we get ready for Christmas. I'm looking forward to another great week together.
We will be having a phonics test on Wednesday (12/6) and a math test on Thursday (12/7). Our next spelling test will be pushed to Tuesday (12/12). This will be our last spelling test before break.
November reading logs were due on Friday, December 1st. December reading logs will be coming home this week.
We will be going to the library on Wednesday. Please return library books.
We will be going to the St. Nick Shop on Tuesday, December 5th. Please send money in with your child in an envelope labeled with their name. Please also send in a reusable bag so students can carry their purchases. The HSA is also looking for volunteers to assist with this event. Please see the school website.
Bagel permission slips/money are due on Wednesday (12/6).
Wednesday (12/6) is Christmas sock day. Students are invited to wear Christmas socks with their uniforms.
Thursday (12/7) is Comfy-Cozy Day. No slippers, crocs or other loose-fitting shoes. No revealing pjs or nightgowns. Warm flannel pants, sweats, sweatshirts, fleece shirts and pants are all good choices.
Friday (12/8) is an 11:30 dismissal due to a faculty meeting. We will also have our school Christmas tree lighting and attend Mass for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

Goodie bags should be limited to non-food items with ONE snack that follows the peanut and tree nut free policy. We have 22 students in all. 11 boys and 11 girls.

I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend. Last Friday we had our Buddy Ceremony. The 1st graders received their 8th grade buddies. It was so nice to see so many of you there. It is one of the longest standing traditions at SBS. The students enjoyed their time together afterwards.

Thanks to all of you for joining Class Dojo and returning the student survey. We are off and running to a great start. Homework starts this week. There will be a daily phonics sheet as well as math. Please return the homework the following day. Students are also required to read at least 10 minutes on a daily basis and record it on a reading log.

I am so excited to meet your children tomorrow and begin the new school year! Your student will be in Homeroom 108 and I and I will be teaching all core subjects to your child. Ms. Bianchino and I will work collaboratively throughout the year to coordinate curriculum and procedures in first grade. Please check your child's folder on Monday afternoon for a welcome letter from one of us.
I will be sending home an invitation to join Class Dojo on Tuesday afternoon. This is the best way to contact me. It works like a text message. Your messages are always private.
