Welcome Back to School 8th Grade!
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! My name is Mrs. Diaz, and I am so excited to begin this new school year with you in both ELA and Social Studies. We have an exciting year ahead, filled with learning, growth, and preparation for the transition into high school.
Throughout the year, please take time to check my classroom website. You will find important updates there, along with information on what is needed for class. These expectations usually remain consistent, unless otherwise noted.
During the first week of school, students will bring home a packet with details about how my classes operate, as well as paperwork that needs to be signed and returned. I truly appreciate your time and support in completing these forms.
Please also review your child’s new schedule with them. This year’s schedule has been designed to help ease students into a high school–style routine. It is important that students keep track of their specials and bring the necessary materials for each class.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year together! Thank you for partnering with me to ensure that your child has a successful and positive 8th grade experience.
With excitement,
Mrs. Diaz

Classroom Materials and Homework: Important Guidelines for Parents and Students.
Please note that students will be using both Google Classroom and hard copy materials for class activities and homework. You will be able to see what we are doing in class through either Google Classroom or the subject folders.
Please ensure that your child is prepared for classes with the designated materials. Folders and notebooks should be brought to school and taken home daily. This is a great way to keep track of classwork and homework, as well as to ensure that materials stay safe.
Thank you for your support!
